OCTOBER 6, 2011 : END OF THE HARVEST

The harvest 2011 has ended 2 and a half weeks earlier than a normal year. This vintage looks good qualitatively speaking. The tasting of the first vats is promising. The sweet white gave low yields. Because of drought we had few juice, but the sugar concentration is exceptionnal.


SEPTEMBER 5, 2011 : ONE STAR FOR OUR CLAIRET 2010

Our 2010 Bordeaux Clairet gets one star in le Guide Hachette des vins which appears in September. There are still a few bottles available. If you are interested, you have to hurry, we will be soon out of stock.


AUGUST 30, 2011 : BEGINING OF THE HARVEST

In our winegrower memories, we have never seen so early harvest start than this year. Thanks to a particularly hot and dry spring, the vine grew three weeks in advance compared to a normal year. We now begin to harvest the Sauvignon grape for the dry white. For the moment, the vintage 2011 seems promising. Maturity is good, even if rot appears in some places. For this reason, we “clean up” those places before the harvest. That’s this delicate work that will allow us to produce very good wines again.


MARCH 15, 2011 : 3 OF OUR WINES QUOTED IN THE GUIDE GILBERT ET GAILLARD DES VINS 2012

The results of the tasting for the Guide Gilbert et Gaillard 2012 are the following : the red Cuvée du Carrat 2009 gets the mark of 89 out of 100, the red Cuvée Aliénor 2008 gets the mark of 87 out of 100, and the red Cuvée Tradition 2009 gets the mark of 84 out of 100.


OCTOBER 25, 2010 : END OF THE HARVEST

The harvest 2010 has ended today with the picking of the last grapes touched by the noble rot for the sweet white wines. The vintage 2010 seems very promising. Maturity is as good as 2009 but it should be a bit more aromatic.


SEPTEMBER 20, 2010 : BEGINING OF THE HARVEST

The harvest has started under a bright sun. The vintage 2010 seems promising with a great maturity and a good sugar concentration. We begin by the harvest of the Sauvignon, and we will continue by the Merlot.


MARCH 11, 2010 : 4 OF OUR WINES QUOTED IN THE WINE GUIDE GILBERT ET GAILLARD 2011

The results of the tasting for the wine guide Gilbert et Gaillard 2011 are the following : the red Cuvée Alinéor 2006 gets the mark of 86 out of 100, the sweet white Premières Côtes de Bordeaux 2007 gets the mark of 85 out of 100, the dry white Bordeaux 2009 gets the mark of 84 out of 100 and the red Cuvée M Spirit (Malbec ) gets the mark of 82 out on 100.


FEBRUARY 14, 2010 : PRESENTATION OF THE 2009 VINTAGE

On the occasion of the launch of the 2009 dry white wine, it’s time to present the 2009 vintage. This will be à very good vintage with fruity and aromatic rosé, clairet and dry white. The reds are also exceptional with silky tanins and a pleasant roundness. Sweet white wines are also extremely nice.


OCTOBER 23, 2009 : A NEW RED WINE VINTAGE

We are pleased to annouce the birth of a new Malbec-based red wine vintage, M Spirit. This wine doesn’t appear on this website for the moment, but feel free to ask us information about it.


OCTOBER 19, 2009 : END OF THE HARVEST

The harvest ended today. We picked the last Semillon sublimated by noble rot for our sweet white wines. Everything went well with an exceptional sunny weather, despite a short episode of frost. The vintage 2009 seems already promising.


SEPTEMBER 17, 2009 : BEGINING OF THE HARVEST

The harvest beagan today under a bright sun. We begin by harvesting Sauvignon for the dry white wine. We now have several week’s harvest in front of us. All conditions seem to be there for a good vintage.


MARCH 30, 2009 : THE CLAIRET 2008 IS AVAILABLE

The clairet 2008 is available. It’s a very pleasant fruity and aromatic vintage.


JANUARY 12, 2009 : THE ROSE 2007 IS SOLD OUT

The rosé 2007 is sold out. The vintage 2008 is available.


DECEMBER 18, 2008 : THE DRY WHITE 2008 IS AVAILABLE

Our dry white 2007 is sold out. The very pleasant vintage 2008 is now available.


NOVEMBER 10, 2008 : END OF THE HARVEST 2008

Despite a cold and rainy summer ( the yield has decreased by 30 % ), the quality is good thanks to a nice autumn. The vintage 2008 is fuity and aromatic.


SEPTEMBER 15, 2008 : THE DRY WHITE 2007 AND THE ROSE 2007 AWARDED BY LE GUIDE HACHETTE DES VINS

The dry white 2007 gets one star and the rosé 2007 gets a mention in le Guide Hachette des vins that appears this September.


MARCH 17, 2008 : THE VINTAGE 2007 IS AVAILABLE

The vintage 2007 is available for our dry white, rosé and clairet. This is a very pleasant, fruity and aromatic vintage, full of promise.


SEPTEMBER 18, 2007 : THE RED CUVEE ALIENOR 2004 AWARDED BY LE GUIDE GILBERT ET GAILLARD

Our red cuvée Aliénor 2004 gets the mark of 77 out of 100 in Le Guide Gilbert et Gaillard des vins 2008 that appears this September.

Our rosé 2006 gets one star in Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2008 which appears this September.


SEPTEMBER 13, 2007 : THE RED CUVEE DU CARRAT IS SOLD OUT

The red cuvée du Carrat 2004 is sold out. The excellent vintage 2005 is available in 75 cl bottle and 37.5 cl bottle. The bag in box is available in vintage 2006.


SEPTEMBER 13, 2007 : BEGINNING OF THE HARVEST

It’s under a beautiful sun that we harvested the first white Sauvignon, this morning. The fine weather of these last days, has improved maturity and quality of the grapes. After a rainy summer, the vintage 2007 might be a good surprise.


SEPTEMBER 10 : THE RED CUVEE ALIENOR 2003 IS SOLD OUT

The red cuvée Alienor 2003 is sold out. The vintage 2004 is round and bodied. This vintage will really be a pleasure wine. The magnum and the half-bottle are still available in the vintage 2003.


AUGUST 20, 2007 : THE DRY WHITE BORDEAUX 2005 IS SOLD OUT

The dry white Bordeaux 2005 is sold out. The vintage 2006 is available. It’s an excellent vintage, aromatic and well balanced. The half-bottle is still available in the vintage 2005 for the moment.


APRIL 17, 2007 : THE RED PREMIERES COTES DE BORDEAUX CUVEE TRADITION 2003 IS SOLD OUT

Château Gravelines red Premières Côtes de Bordeaux cuvée Tradition 2003 is sold out. From now on, it is replaced by the vintage 2004. This vintage is characterized by a perfect balance between roundness and strength. The half-bottle is still available in the vintage 2003.


MARCH 9, 2007 : LE VIN DE PAYS IS AVAILABLE

For the first time, Château Gravelines produces a vin de pays. This new red wine is named Les Bastides de Gravelines. The appellation ot this wine is vin de pays de l’atlantique. It is available in 75 cl bottle and 5 litre and 10 litre bag in box. Our vin de pays is supple and round and very well balanced.


JANUARY 25, 2007 : THE ROSE 2005 IS SOLD OUT

Château Gravelines Bordeaux rosé 2005 is sold out. The vintage 2006 is available. It is an excellent vintage which is characterized by a remarkable aromatic persistence. The bag in box is also available in the vintage 2006. The half-bottle is still available in the vintage 2005 for the moment.


DECEMBER 27, 2006 : THE SAINTE CROIX DU MONT 2003 IS SOLD OUT

Château Gravelines Cuvée du Tich Sainte Croix du Mont 2003 is sold out. From now on, it is replaced by the excellent vintage 2004. The half-bottle is also available in the vintage 2004.


DECEMBER 12, 2006 : THE SWEET WHITE PREMIERES COTES DE BORDEAUX 2004 IS SOLD OUT

Château Gravelines swett white Premières Côtes de Bordeaux 2004 is sold out. From now on, it is replaced by the vintage 2005. This vintage is characterized by a perfect balance between sugar and acidity, in the continuity of 2003 and 2004. The half-bottle is still available in the vintage 2004.


OCTOBER 19, 2006 : END OF THE HARVEST

It’s under a beautiful sun that we finished to pick the last Sémillon for the sweet white wine. On the whole, we have harvested good quality grapes in spite of some rainy periods in the beginning of September. We had to deplore on October 3 a strong gale which left us without electricity during two days and a half. Nothing serious however. This vintage is finally rather successful.

Our sweet white wine Premières Côtes de Bordeaux 2004, obtains the mark of 85 out of 100 in Le Guide Gilbert et Gaillard 2007 which appears this September.


SEPTEMBER 14, 2006 : BEGINNING OF THE HARVEST

We will start by the harvest of the Sauvignon, then Sémillon and Muscadelle for the dry white wine. Then we will harvest the red grapes in the following order : Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet-Sauvignon and Cabernet-Franc. For the sweet white wines, Sauvignon, Sémillon and Muscadelle will of course be picked by hand, according to the noble rot, with several successive pickings in order to harvest only the best.
